The project focused on the realization of a 118 Medical Emergency Operations Center at the service of the hospital of Alessandria, National Hospital “Santi Antonio e Biagio and Cesare Arrigo”. The Operations Center is equipped with the following facilities:
- helipad for helicopter take-off and landing and parking area;
- building used as an emergency operations center and helicopter rescue;
- service parking and internal road works;
- hangar for the storage and maintenance of the helicopter;
- fuel storage area;
- water supply system for fire-fighting system;
- rainwater collection and treatment system by means of oil separator – sand trap before final disposal;
- fence area;
- storage tank for oily substances and exhausted oils.
The design phase took place between 2003 and 2004, while the construction was carried out between 2005 and 2007.
