06/16/2025 EXCELLENT RESULTS ACHIEVED IN MOSTAR FROM THE COLLABORATION BETWEEN TE2C AND BHANSA
The Air Navigation Services Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BHANSA) has successfully implemented a new satellite-guided flight procedures (PBN) system at Mostar Airport since March 21, 2024.
The implementation of PBN procedures brings economic, operational, and environmental benefits: shorter flights, lower fuel consumption and emissions, lower costs, and less noise. This contributes to achieving the EU’s climate-neutrality goals by 2050.
“The results speak for themselves. Over 90% of flights use PBN procedures for takeoffs and over 75% for approaches, clearly confirming their operational value. This way, we have ensured greater service continuity, especially in adverse weather conditions, while also enhancing safety and contributing to the sustainability of air traffic,” said BHANSA Director Davorin Primorac.
The new procedures, developed in collaboration with CGX AERO, Tecno Engineering 2C, and Ecoplan, also enable greater precision and safety, especially in the complex meteorological and topographical conditions characteristic of Mostar Airport.
Carlo Criscuolo, Executive Director of Tecno Engineering 2C, emphasized the continued fruitful collaboration:
“The completion of this project is extremely important to us, not only because of its technical complexity, but also because it represents the continuation of the partnership that began 15 years ago, when we developed the first conventional procedures for Mostar. Today, thanks to PBN technology, further improvements in safety standards and operational efficiency have been achieved.”
