01/16/2023 TE2C AWARDED FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR GALATI-BRAILA AIRPORT

The contract for the “Realization of the Galati-Brăila International Airport” as well as for the preparation of studies associated with the SF design phase related to the future investment objective was signed at the end of last year by the president of the Brăila County Council, Francisk Chiriac, the president of the Galati County Council, Costel Fotea, and the representative of the association that won the tender, Florin Petre. The association declared the winner is SC Aduro Impex SRL (association leader) & SC Tecno Engineering 2C SRL & SC WE Project Engineering SRL and includes 17 entities, including the “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galati.

The airport will be located in the Braniştea area, and the area served will be Galati, Brăila, Vrancea, Buzău and partially the Republic of Moldova. The design in the feasibility study phase will include all the elements necessary to detail the recommended solution, with plans, sketches, profiles and sections, as well as preliminary technical descriptions of the following investment objects: terminal, taxiways and apron, control tower, access roads, technological roads, fences, parking lots, bus stops, taxi stands, systems and installations necessary for the activity, utilities. The airport will have a runway 4,000 meters long, the width of the runway will be 45 meters.
